What is the difference between the cake and dessert versions?
|
The difference between the cake and dessert versions is mainly in the
presentation, taste-wise they are almost the same (the dessert version
might be slightly more moist than the cakes). The cake versions look
like a regular round cake, and is delivered in a cake box. It can be
easily cut into wedges for serving. The dessert version is packaged in
an aluminium foil tray (for the small tray (1/2kg), medium tray (1kg)
and large tray (2kg) desserts) and has to be scooped out like an ice-cream
for serving. We also make the dessert version in individual portion
plastic cups which are about the size of mango pudding cups. The cups
have a minimum order of 12.
We usually recommend the cake versions for
special events like birthday celebrations. The dessert versions might be
more suitable for informal gatherings and dinners.

What is the difference between Tiramisu, Chocomisu and Berrymisu?
|
|
Tiramisu is made with coffee and coffee liquers. Chocomisu is made
with melted chocolate and chocolate liquer. Berrymisu is made with
mixed berries (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, cranberry), soaked
in rum and brandy.

What is the difference between Kahlua, Irish Baileys Cream and
Tia Maria flavours in the tiramisu?
|
|
Kahlua, Baileys and Tia Maria are all coffee/espresso liquers.
Kahlua and Tia Maria are quite similar but the difference is that
Tia Maria is slightly more alcoholic and less sweet than the Kahlua.
For Baileys Irish Cream, the liquer itself is milky, which gives the
tiramisu a rich creamy taste.

Are the cakes and desserts suitable for children and pregnant moms?
|
|
All our cakes and desserts can be made as non-alcoholic versions if
requested. To be on the safe side, we do recommend the non-alcoholic
versions for young children and pregnant moms but of course it is up
to each customer’s individual preference. Please note that we usually
assume that the order is for alcoholic versions unless otherwise stated.
If you would like the non-alcoholic version, please highlight this clearly
when placing the order!

Can I order a cake for someone as a surprise gift?
|
|
We have no problems with surprise gifts. You can make the order
online and pay via credit card for the order or make payment via
funds transfer if credit card payment is not possible. However,
based on our experience with surprise gifts, the recipient might
not be home during the stipulated time slot and there is a delivery
surcharge of $10 for us to make a 2nd delivery attempt. So we would
very much appreciate it if you could ensure that someone will be
around at the delivery address to receive the cake during the delivery
time slot.
